We are looking for an energetic, creative, and compassionate individual to join our life enrichment team as a Per Diem Activities Aide. In this role, you will help design and deliver meaningful social, physical, and therapeutic recreational programs. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our seniors, encouraging engagement, and bringing joy to our community every single shift.

Schedule: Flexible scheduling, including alternating weekend blocks, occasional evenings, and holiday rotations to ensure continuous resident engagement.

 

Position Overview

• Activity Execution: Lead, assist, and facilitate scheduled individual and group activities, including arts and crafts, musical entertainment, games, exercises, and sensory programs.

• Resident Engagement: Encourage and escort residents to and from activities, actively fostering a warm, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere.

• Memory Care & Special Needs: Assist in implementing specialized, tailored programs designed to support residents in our secured units or specialized care neighborhoods.

• Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate participation records, daily attendance tracking, and behavioral observation logs to support quality care standards.

• Setup & Breakdown: Prepare activity rooms, organize necessary supplies, and ensure all recreational areas are left clean, structured, and safe.

• One-on-One Visits: Conduct meaningful individual room visits for residents who prefer or require in-room socialization and independent activities.

 

Qualifications & Skills

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. (An academic background or coursework in early childhood education, public health, therapeutic recreation, or human services is a plus).

• Experience: Previous experience working with older adults or individuals with cognitive impairments in a healthcare, residential, or assisted living setting is preferred.

• Core Talents: Outgoing personality, strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for creating a positive environment.

• Reliability: Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.

• Compliance: Must successfully pass all state-mandated healthcare background checks, fingerprinting, and medical screening baselines.
