At Camillus Ridge Terrace, we believe that mental and spiritual health is as important as physical health. We also understand the challenges of caring for people with memory impairments.
Our specially designed memory care unit will be staffed with trained professionals that will have a holistic approach to caring for our residents. The management of Camillus Ridge Terrace have been caring for older people for over 25 years and from experience have found that people with impaired memories require an environment that is familiar, comfortable and secure with staff that is knowledgeable and creative in caring for people with dementia.
Some of our special distinctions that help a person to maintain their highest practicable well-being are the following:
* A Familiar Setting ... the memory impairment neighborhood will be tastefully decorated with pictures, sofas, televisions, rocking chairs, that give a person that feeling of home and security.
* Our staff will know our residents ... a holistic approach means that a specific staff member will be responsible for certain residents ensuring that all aspects of that residents care are met daily.
* There are so many activities to choose from ... our activities will be tailored for each resident and carried out under the supervision of our professional staff, all adaptable to the residents likes and dislikes.
* Our expert staff .. our caregivers are trained through regularly scheduled extensive inservices and seminars to provide them with the proper tools to ensure that they are equipped for any caregiving situation.
* Building design ... our building is state of the art and has all the comforts of home. The living areas and lounge areas are tastefully decorated to nurture the "small neighborhood" feeling that is desired.
